Site Updates

  • Site Updates

    All,
On 01/25/15, this Sunday @ 6pm, I will be turning off the forum to conduct several patches.
The planned outage will be for approximately 1 hour.

I do not anticipate any issues or it being any longer.

    Thank you.

    Alex

You know black/dark themes always look good on pc, but often just aren't high contrast enough to read the content easily, especially the grey font…

you can change the site skin in your settings back to the default skin if the black does not agree with you.

Though I like the red and black scheme, it's very suspicious at work (where I do most of my browsing hehe), I had to change it back to default to avoid drawing attention.

Had an email this morning saying Z31P had blocked 5 unsuccessful attempts to log into my account using the wrong password … checked the IP address listed in the email and it was reported as originating in China. Not sure they'd get anything here that could hurt me… they might be very disappointed in my progress on the car.

Just wondered if this was in any way connected with the changes made to the site, or the recent emergency outage… also wondered if anyone else had this problem…

I (personally) have not had that issue. But I have heard of at least one other person that has received a similar notice.

I am aware of that issue.
Its a new spider bot that comes from China.
There is not much we can do to prevent the unauthorized attempts.

I get the notifications daily of all user accounts who are being hit. So far, no successful logins from China.

Thanks Alex… keeping us safe from Chinese spider bots is an inglorious job, but we appreciate it!

Makes me wonder if there are any Z31's in China… and if there are, who (or what) drives them…
