Both tension rods are either broke, or the rubber bushings wore out.

Tension rods both looked good, must be the bushings. Could there be any damage from those going out or will replacing them do the trick?

could be control arms or crossmember as well

1987 Nissan 200SX SE (Old School FR)
1994 Nissan Sentra SE-R (Balls To The Wall Track Car)
2000 Nissan Maxima SE (Daily Driver)
    2006 Scion tC (Wife Whip)

In an ideal world I would have all ten fingers on my left hand, so my right hand could just be a fist for punching.

my car is the same way,but only on one side, i assumed the fender was messed up from the previous owner.

If you put the wrong strut on the wrong side you can set the wheels back..idk if they do go on backwards, but im pretty sure ive seen someone do it before.

And by backwards I mean the wrong side of the car.

Man you guys are good! went out and checked and they are towards the rear of the car. I have time to fix that tomorrow, so just the struts are side specific or the control arms too?

    Thanks guys!

Haha you'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge in the suspension area lmao. Only time I've worked with struts is I helped a buddy swap his front right strut as it had broken in half.

Time to do some hands on learning tomorrow.

seems by going through the other posts here, the previous owner may have replaced the side you're having problems with by getting a part off the wrong side of the donor car.
