timing belt movement


  • timing belt movement

    just finished timing belt and NA2T noticed my timing belt has moved back almost against the rear timing cover. cams and crank are tight tensioner isnt too tight. i also flipped it around so the arrows pointed out .

    any ideas?

    Do you have those tapered washers on both sides of the crank sprocket?

    Reading and attenion to detail will always be your friend. Get a manual and read it. Timing belt is rudimentary.

    just washers on outside sprocket straight to cam

    i think it ended up being loose sprocket bolt as retarded as i look ill admit it. i was just getting in a hurry i wanna drive it so bad.

    after i tightened it i was able to start it fairly easily and then the dreaded oil seepage from exhaust manifold. im doing intake valve seals now.
