AEM is Ripping me off!!!! Help with o2 Bung!

  • AEM is Ripping me off!!!! Help with o2 Bung!

I have a AEM UEGO Wideband

Well I am in the process of fabbing up a new exhaust so I now need a new o2 sensor bung to weld on my new downpipe…
I called AEM and they told me that the cheapest way to do it is to go off of summitracing.com

Well I went to summit, and searched "AEM o2 bung" and did not find the bung.

I called AEM, and they told me to buy the o2 bung that "Flow-tec" Sells, which costs $15.95, and works with the AEM UEGO.
Well Summit charges $15'ish for a "Handling" fee bringing me to a grand total of $25-30 for a freaking o2 bung!!!
THERE HAS TO be a cheaper way than this bull shit!
I Refuse to pay ANYTHING more than $10.00 shipped.

    Anyone have any ideas!

summit is totally gay for shit like that… they add an EXTRA $25 just for the hell of it just to ship to canada. needless to say i don't use those guys anymore.

maybe figure out the diameter and thread pitch and drill out some solid stock and tap it?

no no no no no!!!!!! go to napa and ask for a anti spark plug fouler (It sounds something like that) its like 5.99 and you have to take a hack saw and cut off the extra but thats what i used for my o2 bung and its steel so its easy to weld!

If you don't want to go to lowes or home depot… I can get them for cheap. I have 3 sitting on my desk here at home.

BTW Mike, what is the thread size and pitch?

napa and carquest usually have weld on bungs in stock around here.

have you asked at the counter?

    M18X1.5 is the correct thread/pitch.
