    I just got my nistune setup today from buffer. Its apparently is a 88 turbo ecu. I am going to be using it in an '87 with dsm 450cc injectors. Mine uses low impedence injectors from factory, and I believe the 88-89 use high impedence if I am not mistaken. I still have to see if the 450's are high impedence or low so ill know if I have to wire in resistors or not. The nistune board and software changes nothing with the injector drivers, correct?

    DSM uses low-imp so yes you will need resistors

    Nope the lower current transistors are built into the ECU. Ssdly inserting a resistor into the current path of a lo Z circuit is not without tradeoff.

    You should make a resistor harness instead of cutting and splicing the stock one.

    I have an 88 NIStune ECU and using 780cc low imp. injectors. I had a spare fried ECU and used the female socket off of the ECU to make the resistor harness. This way, if I ever change ECU's or use a friends ECU to check something (which I had to do), I can just remove the harness.
