z32 MAF with 86 ECU?Might be a dumb question, but is there anything different (different from the 88+ ECUs which is shown here http://z31.com/prom/z32maf/ ) that MUST be done to run a z32 MAF on an 86 ECU. I ask because the electronics shop is currently swapping nistune from my old board to a known good 86 NA board and I want to know if I am going to have to do more than usual to run my z32 MAF once I get the ECU back. Any details would be appreciated.

There are differences in the 86 ECCS's. You should contact Matt, the developer of NisTune, and have him setup your Nistune board for the new ECCS.1984 300ZXT

Are you saying there changes that need to be made to the nistune board? I know that it has to be installed differently, but I thought a type one board was a type 1 board. Correct me if I am wrong here because I should be picking up my 86 ECU with the board installed later today.bemis wrote: There are differences in the 86 ECCS's. After an email to Matt (which was responded to quite promptly) I have my questions answered and will post them up for future reference.
The 86 ECU will work fine, the board just needs to be removed my from 88 ECU and installed per the directions found here: http://www.nistune.com/docs/NIStune_Typ … lation.pdf
Using the z32 AFM requires the modifications found here (page 32): http://nistune.com/docs/NIStune_Softwar … Manual.pdf
