Fuel Injector question

  • Fuel Injector question

I pulled some top feed injectors from a 93 Mercedes 500 SEL / Bosch part # 0-280-155-217 , they look like the 450 sel's everyone else gets but wondered If any one has used these ? The car had low miles and I paid dirt cheap for them . Thanks , I did use the search button but only found the 450's and 480's , I searched online but didn't get very much info , the car does come with 320hp .

I was basically looking for any feedback on these , I'll have them tested to see how they flow and If good I'll look towards a tune with all the other stuff I have upgraded . I was surprised to see a wrecked 93 Benz 500 with 60k .

322hp from a 5.0L V8. Remember, it doesnt take as big of injectors to get 320hp from a 5.0L V8 as it does to get 320hp from a 3.0L V6. That car could get away with 260cc injectors and still make 322hp. If that were the case, they'll be no better than stock turbo injectors.

Unless you can find the part number cross-referenced somewhere online, your best bet is to compare flow results to a stock injector to estimate their flow rate.

    Check http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tableifc.htm

According to that they put out 197.6cc/min, but at an unknown PSI.

If someone has alldata or similar service info access now all you need to do is look up the fuel pressure spec for that benz.
