You're better off making your own kit.
There are definitely plenty of examples of other's builds that you can follow.
You could have a decent setup for around $350.

Terrible fitment and pipe routing, plus MAJOR heat soaking.
Its not the material they used that makes it crappy, its a terrible setup.
The z31 already produces a good amount of heat, a front mount intercooler is needed, not a worthless V mount.

Plus on top of that, the owner of the company asked the community of our opinion. We all replied back giving honest opinions (bad design), the owner of CXRacing replied calling us idiots.
Not a good way to start a product and have the community support.

i can understand terrible fitment but is heat soak not an issue when the heat exhangers are in opposite positions? butter and at one time mikeg and even careless ran a horizontal rad. in the nose while having the intercooler mounted almost perpendicularly underneath it. Sorry, im just trying to understand it all.

Its cool that you are trying to debunk this and figure it at all out.

But there is heat soaking involved. All the real kids run FMICs.

But if you want to buy the kit and try it out, definitely go for it. No one is stopping you
The majority of the z31 community will recommend FMICs though.

plus their lack of proper design causes you to loose PS and AC both. plus I think I remember someone who actually DID get one, and had to modify a bunch of their parts just to get them to fit correctly. a FMIC is easy to figure out and do yourself, much cheaper too, than even considering dealing with those guys!

Does anybody here even know what their IAT's are (other than us guys running stand alones)? Only way to see if it works or not is to monitor IATs. Though I agree the piping is garbage.

This is my first time seeing this kit. Doesn't make sense really at all. Most would put radiator horizontal and intercooler as the bottom V. Then cut slots in the hood for all the heat flowing thru the radiator to release out of engine compartment. All that just to cut power steering too…doesn't make sense. I made my intercooler kit for ~ $300 with all cutting and welding. Intercooler was $100. Piping kit was like $120 and sat in a industrial welders parking lot for a few hours testing fitting and welding. Cost me $80 bucks for him to weld the stuff up in between the real jobs he was doing.

Will save you a lot of time and pain just go do front mount which will be more than enough for what you are doing I'm assuming.

With this kit you will be spending more time building shrouds and re-arranging things than it's worth.
