Jacked up mastercylinder I suspect
Just put on all new stainless lines, new pads and TT calipers.
with car off (no clutch to drive around) I push in the pedal and it goes down pretty far. I then pump it up a few times and it feels good while I hold it in place. I release and wait for about 3-5 seconds and push it in again and it squishes down pretty far again.

Yep. I don't know why so many are bad, even right out of the box.Chuck Stong

sounds like the check valve inside is bad. I have one that i used for about two weeks and swapped off (i mistakingly thought it was the problem, tapered pads). It's been full of fluid in a box for a couple weeks but it should be fine. I'll sell it cheap. It was a VB new, not rebuilt. If you are interested PM me.My beloved Z:1987 2+2 NA2T w/30a swap.
