prop shaft = 27" from the front U joint center to the rear U joint center

  • prop shaft = 27" from the front U joint center to the rear U joint center

    I have a spare propeller shaft that measurers 27" from the front U joint center to the rear U joint center;
    is 34.75+_ overall in length;
    has a 1.5" diameter slip yoke;
    and a square flange on the other end.
    I suspect it is for a 2-seat automatic but I can only find dimensions for manual transmissions on the web.
    Can anybody confirm this, or put me on the right track?
    Thanks,
    John

    Thanks for the link but it didn't seem to answer my question of what is it?. I am trying to insert a photo of the slip yoke which has along collar on it, but can't seem to make it work.

    Thanks for the info. I don't want to appear rude or ungrateful, but is this something you have direct experience with or are you presuming?

    The only trans and driveshaft I haven't manhandled are the T5 parts… I'm just not discounting the possibility that yours isn't even for a z31

    Thanks. It is not for a T-5, according to xenonz31' drawings. I just can't find a photo of the automatic slip yoke end to rule it out.

    Thanks for taking a look. It has the same construction technique, same u-joints, same counterweights, same diameter, etc., as the stick's, so I believe it is a Nissan OEM unit, and not aftermarket.
