Car wont start After short (Fire)

  • Car wont start After short (Fire)

I had a fire in my car a while back because of a wire that i didnt put through a grommet it shorted out and blew my main fuse link for my battery. So my car wouldnt start so i got a brand new fuse link from courtesy parts. I put it in and still nothing. I have fixed all the visible damage done by the fire there were no visible burns on any of my other wiring. I have checked everything. I have fuel but no spark. Also, right before this happened i had just put a brand new rotor and cap on. It was the test drive after the cap. I can put pictures if needed.

What he said. I'm pretty sure that people have pooched their ECUs with shorts too. I would try to find a known good ECU first because it's relatively easy to test, finding a known good 88 harness may be a bit of a trick.

Unless you ohm'd out every wire you start lol may have a broken wire or other shorted device. I wouldn't waste the money sending a suspected faulty ecu without contacting Nistune to ask them directly.
