I think I made an OOPs

So I was installing my new CHTS, and I think I overtightned it..

It dident feel all that tight, but i spent the day struggling with Corssmember bolts so maybe it was stronger than it felt..

Well anyways its in there but when i went to do the last turn, It seems that the piece that lets the socket grip it broke.. so now theres no way to get it out.. without mutaliating it.. i dident break the acctual unit just the hexagon shaped peice that the socket goes on..

I dont know what to call it..

Im hoping it will be okay untill it has to be changed again..

Has anyone else had this happen?

That sounds like a mess. From what I remember, I dont think that is two part. Hopefully someone with a sensor out of the head can chime in here.
The sensor is sealed inside of the threaded housing. When the time comes, you could always drill into it and use an extractor.

I would hope you didnt strip the aluminum threads....that could have been what you felt.

Have you tested the resistance of the sensor yet, is it working?
Who are you to tell me my uninformed opinion is wrong?!?!?

From what I can tell the sensor is in there.. I tried pulling on it and it isnt comming out, from what I can tell it isnt going anywhere… Its just the hext part that the socket grabs onto seems to have broken
