So you already had MT on the car and running?
    Seems like:
    A.Downgrade
    B.Waste of time

you do realize you can get a precalibrated HPX for a Z32 spec MAF scale, right?
    Damn dirty angels....these cars!

Current Daily Driver - 86 Turbo.
Under the cover - THE BANANA… that needs to be re-energized.

Yeah I've seen it but haven't looked into the exact specs. It's probably more like a replacement instead of using an original Z32 maf which is said to be limited to around 500 whp and when using stock size z32 fuel injectors. I haven't bought it yet but so far I'm going with the HPX N1 that's good for over 700whp in a 3" MAF housing. It's in the Nistune drop down menu for MAF selection. Also going with 1000cc injectors.

so far the limits of MAF's have been rumors, and bad ideas. regardless. I cant remember the exact scale, but I do know it is individual to the Z32 spec. I have one on my car, and need to get tuned to see what it is capable of! As well as ZcarGo's once i get the dead spot at 2500 figured out…

I thought the HPX in a 3" tube was rated at 1000, or 1300 hp or something outrageous. either way, cant wait to hear how this goes!

On the PMAS-maf.com website it says that the HPX N1 is good for 830 whp in a 3" housing. More than plenty for me. Matt from Nistune has tried it on his R34 with an RB25DET neo engine and he said it works fine with a perfect idle and no drive ability issues. He tried it in a 3" housing mounted before the turbo in a draw through setup.

I had to redo my intake since I'm adding a MAF. Working on a cold air intake and also keep the hot radiator fan air away from the air filter. Here I made a template out of foam board. Then I'm gonna get it done in aluminum.

If you cut the front of that air box out, and punch out the rubbery plastic material that is between the top of the radiator and front bumper support, you can accomplish functional cold air induction.

I still have to modify it some. I can also connect a tube from the passenger side headlight bucket. There's a cold air setup already for the factory airbox.

Installed the new ID 1000cc injectors. I'm gonna run them with the Microtech first to check for leaks and see how well they work.

Got the flange for the Z32 AAC valve welded on to my Z31 gutted manifold.

AAC idle valve painted and mounted. No leaks from the new injectors and fuel lines. I also filled the fuel tank with about 8 gallons of 93 octane since the flex fuel setup with Nistune requires an initial tune with 93 octane. Then drain the tank and fill with E85 and retune .
