    ===== Harmonic Balancer Information =====
Because of the different years and engines, there were four different harmonic balancers used on the Z31's VG30 engines. Below is a chart to help determine which one you want to use.

    ^ Year ^ Engine ^ Aspiration ^ Part Number ^ PS Pulley ^ AC Pulley ^ H2O/Alt Pulley ^
    | 1984-1986 | A/B Series | non-turbo | 12303-V5020 | V-Belt | V-Belt | V-Belt |
    | 1984-1986 | A/B Series | turbo | 12303-V5320 | V-Belt | V-Belt | micro-V |
    | 1987 | A/B Series | all | 12303-F6100 | micro-V | micro-V | micro-V |

    | 1987-1989 | W Series | all | 12303-21V10 | micro-V | micro-V | micro-V |

You can use the A/B series balancers on the W series crankshafts if you get the spacer from Nissan (p/n 12308-V5321).

You should be able to use a W series balancer on an A/B series crankshaft if you get a slightly longer bolt with matching threads.

I think and organized group buy may be in order with this one…it's something I've been looking for since about 2005. Nice find!

1987 Nissan 300ZX Turbo (Budget Supercar)
1987 Nissan 200SX SE (Old School FR)
1994 Nissan Sentra SE-R (Balls To The Wall Track Car)
2000 Nissan Maxima SE (Daily Driver)
    2006 Scion tC (Wife Whip)

In an ideal world I would have all ten fingers on my left hand, so my right hand could just be a fist for punching.

Well i am at the point in my rebuild where this would be good.

    600.00 AUD = 557.013 USD

Idk haven't bothered to look into lighter pulleys, underdrives, etc.

Group buy. I'd be interested, if i have the funds. Waiting to see what bartco comes out with.

    +1 nice find

I'm pretty sure that pulley is for a VG30DE/DETT.

    Reasons for saying this:
    1. On the site, it is listed simply as for the VG30. This usually means the VG30DE/DETT because it is more popular and has a larger aftermarket.
    2. The diameter of the alt/waterpump and ac belt lands look be the same size in the picture. On stock VG30E/ET w-series crank pulleys the alt/waterpump pulley land is noticeably larger in diameter.
    3. All the guys on that forum have pictures of Z32's as avatars. So more than likely they all have Z32's and are looking at a crank pulley for a Z32. I didn't read all the way through the discussion on the forum, but I believe the forum is for Z32's.

    Done.

If it sounds to good to be true… prob is… they do make dor the RB- series

    Like the ATI damper spec's VG30 but it's VG30DE:

    Other possibilties:

BHJ make the L-series dampers for Robello - no VG30E damper:

    Sorry for false hopes…

Why do you want a pretty pulley for that type of funding???
Because its SFI approved, and some of us NEED to find an SFI approved harmonic balancer/crank pulley....Or pay off the track inspector.

One of the guys from BHJ posts at HZ. I PMed him about a z31 damper but he never responded. I posted in the Bartco thread at z31.com and he didn't respond either. Fuck 'em…do it like z31 parts have always been done..do it yourself or go to a good automotive machine shop and hand over a z31 damper and your credit card and tell them what you want.

that is definitely a VG30DETT balancer. look at the spacing of the pulley sections and the number of ribs per pulley, and compare to other vg30dett pulleys.

This works with the VG33 crank snout diameter.

There is just one problem with that. The only reason for getting this is because they are SFI approved. A regular machinist cannot sfi approve anything.

And a company like BHJ can ? I thought only the SFI foundation could give SFI certification. Seems like you or the machine shop could apply for certification. I don't think that most z31ers are concerned with SFI certification anyway. You and ZFast88Z maybe.
All I wanted was a lighter damper w/ trigger wheel provisions. And that didn't have chips missing, cracks etc, I could have bought a new Nissan damper and had it machined for a trigger wheel but the price would have been close to the dampers posted and it wouldn't have been any lighter.

I believe ATI does have a damper that would be compatible for our smaller crank snouts. If you loot at this page: http://www.atiracing.com/products/dampe … nissan.htm you'll see at the bottom they list V6 engines with one having a snout diameter of .980", which I believe will work on the smaller VG30E snouts. Someone might give them a call and see if they can work something up for you.

The ATI damper for the VG30 is for the DE/DETT models. I worked with ATI in getting those done and the project rolled over to BDE out in Washington. He came out with the first batch. They are pricey but the benefits are quite substantial. I can have ATI make us true VG30E dampers but they require an order of 10 to get any type of discount. I can send them a crank for them to build off of as well.

Not the VG30 one, its under that listed as V6 with .980 crank snout.
