  • cobra wheels. 17x10.5

i had some cobra 17x8 years ago and loved the look so i am thinking of going that route again. theses are what i am looking at anyone ever ran this brand before? also how many people have ran a 17x9 17x10.5 staggared like that curious if fitment will be an issue. planning on 275/40 tires in the rear. open on the front still.

No to fake rivet wheels. I had those wheels and can dig up a picture of fitting the rear. I currently rock the 17x9 Cobra Rs on the 86 and like them.

However, there are better ones out there that look better on the car. Both these thick 5 spokes would fit up really nicely and look great.

Anthracite come in 17x9" and 10.5"

and the SCs which come in 17x9" and 10". You are going to need some spacers 10mm to clear the strut tubes in the front and rear control arms in the back. You should be able to fit 275 no issues in the rear.

Cobra's have decent brake clearance, those look like they don't

Really? Because Brian is clearing your BBK with 17x9 SCs :P You need a spacer regardless to clear the strut tube with the mustang wheels.

Spacers in front…doesnt look like they are needed for the rear.

My BBK is unusually good for wheel clearance

The rears tuck in nicely now that the rear spacers are off. The front i had to get a 20mm spacer to get it to sit flush. Have a picture just need to upload and update. Rear is 17x5 with a 315 tire while the front is 17x9 with 245 tire. The cobra wheels i have dont have a dish.

I had these exact wheels before and i like them I only ran 225/50/17 tires as we got used ones off of bmws at the shop all the time. i did use a spacer on the front and back with et lugs for clearance and look i still have the spacers and lugs. most importantly was that the 10.5 would clear in the back. I might look at other wheels when its time to buy but I just remember how well the wheels looked on a black car, its a good combination of performance and look. i do not like the mesh crap that a lot of people put on their z cars or any car really. Its over done IMO but then i am putting a basic 5 star wheel on right? anyway if i had any wheel i want it would be 370 cobra i believe it was called a halo Jag but they are like non existent anymore. Thanks for the input.

I'm running those exact wheels now except with black spokes and the chrome lip. I was thinking about selling them with the tires. The 275's look amazing on it and I get a lot of compliments.

17x9 04 Cobra rims all around. 295/45-17 rear tires, 275/40-17 front tires. Stock Shiro springs and 1/2 spacer in the front to clear the strut tube.

I wouldn't mess with the one's on Amazon. I've never heard of either of those brands. Get them from somewhere like this. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/…Mustang-Wheels

If you want something a little different, they have a number of other styles as well.
