"Ron Nash Engineering, Silver Springs NY". Silver Springs is literally less than a 10 minute drive from me! Box is old as hell though as the phone numbers area code is 716, this area of NY hasn't been 716 since 2001. I don't recall the place but I'm going to have to take a trip and see if the place still exists.
Hot Red 1987 Turbo VG30ET, VG33 heads, Isky 280/280 cams, SBE, gt3582r, Pucker factory intake/exhaust manifolds, ms3 pro goldbox, making 610whp at 29psi on e85

I bet its still there. Would be cool to go chat with them. I find it funny Nissan motorsports was located in Compton.

Google search bring up the same addy but different number, So likely still there. Guess I could google earth it and get a street view to read the sign???
    Hmmm, Whats next?
    Full Size Bronco, smashing shit.

You would think Motorsports would have been on the same property in Gardenia when Nissan North American headquarters were there. I've been to Nissan and Infiniti corporate HQ's and the Nissan Dream Car garage in Gardenia in 2004. Motorsports was nowhere near closeby. You could see Mitsubishi's HQ in the distance.

It would be neat if you could talk to the guys at Nash and talk some more about these heads and what teams were doing with them and whatnot.

Phone number is identical with the exception of being 585 not 716…area code just changed to 585 in 2001ish

So in other words, it IS a different phone number Mike. If the area code is different, then the number is different.

Locals would still dial just 237-2781 and they'd still get the same place. :nanan?re

They probably never even saw one of these cars when it came to making those heads, they likely just got a VG30E(T) and got told to go to town :P Was for race cars, not street cars....

I wonder if they still cast those heads and make the roller rockers arms....

  • #27
The roller rockers were made by somebody else.

Pretty sure jesel made the rockers and isky made the cams and pushrods.

Thats not these heads, you can clearly see on the exhaust side of the heads, the flange and ports are set up like the OE heads we have....the NISMO heads pictured require custom manifolds and the flanges and layout is ENTIRELY different.

ACTUALLY, I can even make out "V52" casting on the head in that video, so they're stock Z31 heads…probably with a ton of work though.

Pictures of that engine (courtesy of someone on facebook, probably the guy who took the video?)
