NISMO heads for the VG30E/ET

  • #91
Assembling right now what should make 300+ n/a with 85e heads. Already have a mild setup making 220 to the tires through a 30 mm single inlet restrictor and 9.8 to 1 compression.

Ran some math on the heads and measured some and should be achievable to make 400+ n/a with pistons speeds in the 4500 fpm range and intake valve in the 1.800 range. Gonna take some development though.

You got dyno sheets? I'm interested in seeing that....

Should have a copy of the dyno sheet in a couple of days.
Wish I could find the dyno sheet from my dd truck. It made 213tq and 216 hp on stock tune with 91 octane and 11 to 1.

Here is the dyno sheet. Was off a little on the numbers. Cam gears would have helped a lot.

That isn't a bad power and though. You plan on advancing timing for a better low end or retarding it to bring up your total hp at its peak?

Any updates on this awesome-ness that's happening?

And why only 9.8:1? I know we don't have the best options for pistons but on an NA build there's no reason not to shoot for 11:1+ standard pump gas. Also would be interesting to see what this would do on E85.

I didnt build the motor, pretty sure i would have had around 13 to 1.
Think he had some flat tops lying around and threw it together. Pretty mild cam too with 228 deg. at .050".

Nash heads are on hold till the spring.

  • bulding a big hp engine now. my heads are crakt so i need some new ones and i think these will do the job. if you just have them laing around you can sell them to me? and i can se what they can do whit the gtk1000 turbo bad english of course im from norway

  • I'm pretty stoked to see what an n/a can do with these heads. I've never heard of the 3.8 out of a vg33, that sounds like that would be a interesting build. What pistons would you use?

contact russ, he has 12.5:1 ross pistons in his n/a. maybe he can post a dyno sheet too.

  • Russ' Dyno sheet

Its funny because a22770 made almost as much power and more torque with about the same curve as russ....with 9.8:1 CR not 12.5:1.
