Is a PT 6262 too big to fit in the stock location?

rick88ss is running that. But if you are ditching A/C why not just relocate the turbo, it makes life waaaaaayyyy easier.

It looks like rick88ss is also running a VG33. Is that turbo too big for a VG30?

As far as I know he's currently running a VG30 and had removed the VG33

Currently running a vg30 with a 6262. It fits in the stock location even with the bigger S housing.

    Rick,

If you could do it again, would you stick with the 6262 or go with something else (HX35, etc.)? You seem like you've done this a few times, and I am just getting started. Thanks.

The 6262 should never be compared to an HX35. That's such an insult…
I'll post a pic of my 6262 in the stock location before my tubular manifolds later tonight.

Good to know. I've driven the DXD stage 3 daily, and I find it easier to drive than my old 350z.

6262 is a very good size turbo thay's capable of making over 600whp on about 25-28 psi of boost.
How much power are you looking for? Street or drag/top end performance?

    Rick,

See my thread about that issue here. But to save you the click, basically, I want to keep my A/C and everything I can in stock locations. Power goal is ~500hp primarily for the street. Don't need a drag monster and certainly don't want to have to flog the engine just to have fun. Wide, mid-range power band is what I like. I intend to build the bottom-end & heads, plenum/exhaust flow, and fuel/ecu work, of course.

Any advice you have is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is that because the T3 outlet will bolt right up?
