S13/S14/S15 Subframe Conversion Kit GB-STANCE MULTILINK!!

  • I will probably be cutting them down then....

Can you explain a little more what you mean about the spacer or bending on the mount? I will see this I am sure when I go to do it, and make it work. But I am curious what you are trying to say.

The keyhole shaped OEM Z31 "subframe stay" plates that bolt under the subframe bushings and connect to the two bolts that feed through the floorpan right behind the driver seats will need to have the space between the bushing and itself made up due to the shorter mount height/lack of top flange.

  • Thanks careless.....I dont know why I had to read that 8 times to understand. I feel like a dumb dumb. The stud is so long and the threads are so long, when it sits further up in there, the threads now dont go all the way to the subframe ya? So I need to chop down 4 of the 8 bushings to get where I need to. Maybe I should just buy new ones and sell my old ones.

Can I get the cut ones for the group buy price? Or is that pricing over with? Thanks

Careless: Check your PM's regarding your Holset questions you had 8)

  • Here, look at this picture of the front mount. Side view:

If your bushing no longer has the top flange, then the subframe assembly will sit closer to the chassis. There will now be a space between the lower bracket and the flange of the bushing.

Yes, you can buy the new bushings at the GB pricing. Please PM me.

  • I could cut it off and put it on the other side where there is a space. That little bracket isnt really needed though anyways other than acting as a large washer to tighten down to the main stud thats there.

  • Alright now that some time has gone and everyone is busy installing, where are people ordering their new drive shafts from?

dave at http://shaftmasters.com/ gave me an excellent deal on my current aluminum driveshaft, and i must say it's one of the nicest ones I've seen. it's also filled with special NVH foam and it has standard 1350 or 1310 u-joints (can't remember), that can be replaced easily for like 20 bucks IF they ever fail. Total weight was like 12lbs or something… or even less. I can't remember, but it is a very nice piece.

  • Adam, I spent like 300bux on mine and it is a brand new one piece.

  • Hey now, it's quite a labour intensive project and it would take a few weekends working at it 3-4 hours here and there to finish, especially if you're in school…

  • I just like to hoard rare/expensive parts, and tell everyone that I have them.

    But really

Not expecting to get started on mine until mid-winter. My pops is already getting fussy about my garage-hogging. I figure it should only take a couple of weekends, waiting on the driveshaft to be made in-between the two. But chances are, I'll drag it out for a month.
