Not every noise means a broken HomePod. Occasional quiet popping is normal on new, old, and repaired units. Even 2nd gen HomePods do it. Play these samples on the HomePod itself at matched volume to compare accurately. If yours doesn't match anything here, record it and send it to me before shipping.
