Updates on New Site - 01/19/13

  • #61
I would like to know if the old post "Edit" feature, as with the last program, will eventually be included with this new one? The reason I ask, is that I found it a very convenient way to record all the changes to my ride, on one page.
Also, your search feature, really doesn’t work well. I’ve tried to find all my posts by searching by my “name”, and very few show up: today 12, a few days ago 17, but there should be many more. We used to have one very convenient button for that.
There are other things, but I’m sure you have a lot to do to make this site as user friendly as the last.
I don’t really understand why you felt the need to change it (I thought it was the best of all the Nissan forums), but best wishes on bringing this new one up to par.

There were things a foot that basically wouldn't allow the old site to function any longer. It had to be changed to something else, I know not all the features work but they will soon.

I might as well chip in. I have not found a way to delete my post. An example is when I accidentally post the same reply twice and want to delete one of them.

Standard users will not have the permission to delete posts, same settings as the last forum's setup.

But you could as long as no one posted after you

Search is god awful. It also kills each and every link that I try and find. Such as someone linking to the old forum server. So it's a nightmare trying to track down info now.

These pdf style how to guides are the bee's knees. Think we could pull something like this off?

I'd like to see this, too. Would be nice to be able to update For Sale threads once an item has sold.

Otherwise, thanks for all the hard work you guys are doing!

They have already said that editing posts is not going to happen. The Micheal P rule Dz is referring too.
